Storyboard for Vanity

Storyboard from fbjorkegren09

We chose to re-do our storyboard as the second draft of our trailer no longer fitted with the original storyboard. This is because whilst editing the first draft, we realised we needed to improve the shots and also that the trailer, we feel, didn't make sense to the audience to get our plot across concisely which resulted in re-filming the majority of our shots used.

MARK ROW is sitting at a desk reading the news.

MARK ROW
It has been 20 years since the decree of self-worship was implemented. Today in 2089, King Arthur has approved the long-awaited renewal of the decree to include Vanity. As of today, you will not be able to admire oneself or another and observing one’s reflection for practical reasons only.

My day was so hectic today. Rachel didn’t come in so I had to do all her work for her. How’s your soup? Zac? ZAC?!

ZAC
What?!

FLORENCE
Are you listening to me?

ZAC
Yeah.

FLORENCE
Doesn’t seem it like it?

ABI
Well, Florence, all guys are abit selfish…

(cuts to shot of Zac looking at himself in the mirror in the hall way.)

FLORENCE (V/O)
No, he’s vain.

ABI
            (shocked tone)
Vain?!

(cuts back to Florence and Abi talking)

FLORENCE
                  (shaking head)
I know, I can’t believe it.

(intertitle)
Will this relationship survive?

7.  EXT. WOODLAND
Zac, clearly in distress, walks up to a concrete post and hits it. The shot then cuts to him sliding down the post and holding his head in his hands in despair.

8.  EXT. WOODLAND
Zac holding a glass, throws it at a wall. This is in slow motion. This shot then cuts to a mid shot of the glass breaking against the wall.
